05/29 Mother Coyote - When the War Comes EP Release Show with special guest Dan Lawonn

$12.00

Singer-songwriter Andriana Lehr is rebirthing herself with a new moniker - Mother Coyote - and a new set of songs written and informed by the immense changes, both personal and collective, experienced in recent years. Created with jack-of-all-trades producer Andy Thompson (Dessa, Semisonic, Belle and Sebastian) over the course of the last several years, When The War Comes, the first EP bearing the Mother Coyote name, combines Lehr’s detailed eye for universal storytelling with monumental, brooding soundscapes built specifically for these trying times. Featuring an epic band of musicians to fill out the songs and take these arrangements to new heights, and the addition of strings, horns, and percussion creates the perfect playground for Lehr’s deeply personal lyrics. Inspired by the transition into motherhood and a deep journey into healing, her songs balance themes of birth, death, and the seemingly endless spiral of soul searching that fills the spaces in between. With When The War Comes, Mother Coyote has brought forward a raw truth that shines a light in the darkness for us all to look toward.

This show will feature an expanded repertoire of unreleased Mother Coyote songs, as well as the tracks featured on 'When the War Comes' as they were written, with solo voice and piano, with extra textures added by guitar and cello player, Dan Lawonn, who was also featured on the EP and will open the show.

“an ethereal Enya on steroids.” - John Apice, Americana Highways

“The music is arranged smartly with enough diversity to be of interest. “The Great Unknown” is the most sensitive — with horns blaring & leading to tender piano notes to the end. Quite impressive.” - John Apice, Americana Highways

“the music of Mother Coyote embodies a certain humanity and universal connection shared between all who care to seek it out within themselves.” - Digital Wax
