Danger Night: Music On The Edge

  • Bryant Lake Bowl 810 W Lake St Minneapolis United States (map)

Does the world seem a bit crazy? Let it all go with "Danger Night": an evening of wild songs of the times, with great singers & musicians pulling you into the satirical world of Brenda Varda. A playwright & songwriter (recent transplant from La La Land), Varda has toured with Capitol Comedy, written award-winning plays & musicals, and created songs for events and happenings across the country.  Oh, and she's  a musical director for lots of theatrical adventures, including Minneapolis Musical Theatre, and coming up, "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical" at Theatre L'Homme Dieu this summer.

Also, there are some fabulous bandmates - Umar Malik (drums) and Kellie Nitz (bass) - along with guest vocalists Roland Hawkins, Leslie Vincent, Sulia Rose Altenberg, and Tinka Lalonde. -What to expect? Varda uses irreverence, revelation, and instigation to guide a night of songs from "Call Me Covid"  to "We Won't Have to Do a Thing.”
