The Midnight Hour with special guests The Wrong Omar

Join in the fun of tonight's double bill - The Midnight Hour's CD Release Party for "sexycake'" with The Wrong Omar opening the show.

Becky Shaheen and Aren Olson were on a mission to record their most fun and high energy songs, infused with 80s rocker swag and Top 40 glisten. The album ended up consisting of an interesting mix of brand new explosive pop/rock gems, a bit of country and a little quirk. The Midnight Hour is delighted to resurface to release this album along with 80s rockers Joe Shaheen, Mark Woerpal, and Brian Reidinger. Come help celebrate at the Bryant Lake Bowl for the CD Release Party of sexycake. (Yes, you are encouraged to dress in your 80s best).

Singer-songwriter Joey Shaheen, aka "The Wrong Omar", brings his tour of the US and Canada to Minneapolis, singing his "sidewalk confessionals of bad choices" with a tongue-in-cheek curmudgeon persona for old souls of all ages, he performs with the full band: Bob Groethe (guitar), Tom Hels (drums) and Mike Ransford (bass).  It follows a string of Joe’s solo acoustic shows, radio and TV performance in the Southeast and Midwest. His soulful singing, piano, guitar and blues harp can be described as "crying tears of joy while making love". You may laugh yourself silly with his stories. Be forewarned: you may walk away with these tunes stuck in your head, and you will also be encouraged to sing along at times. The Wrong Omar has performed live on KUMD (Duluth, MN), WTIP (Grand Marais, MN), KMSU (Mankato, MN), WDVX (Knoxville, TN), WETS (Johnson City, TN), WGNW (Asheville, NC) and KDTR (Missoula, MT).  Joe has appeared in concert with RB Morris, Daphne Willis, Hamilton Loomis, Della Mae and Monroe Crossing.
