Broadway, Circa 1986

  • Bryant Lake Bowl 810 W Lake St Minneapolis United States (map)

Come on out for a Pride-tastic romp through Broadway of the eighties. Cabaret queen Mistress Ginger is spilling the tea on her adventures in coming out queer, all while singing and dancing her way through Cats, Phantom, Les Miz, and so much more. Expect shoulder pads, roller skates, and Jellicle dreams come true. Meow!

Since 2006, Mistress Ginger’s cabaret magic has been enjoyed at a variety of Twin Cities venues, including the Bryant-Lake Bowl, Crooners Supper Club, and the Ordway Center. With a passion for storytelling through song, she takes her audiences on whimsical journeys full of heart and imagination.

“Mistress Ginger is a cabaret singer who brings warmth and depth to a lyric, and always lets the song shine through. She moves easily from the steam of a torch song to the campy wink of a double entendre – always while holding up the classic composers and lyricists she loves.” –Michael Whistler of Interact Center for the Arts, for MPR News Art Hounds, 2021
